Project 1011 has exited the construction shed at the Feadship facility in Makkum. Fitting out will continue as she readies for sea trials in the North Sea prior to delivery.

Project 1011 has emerged from the construction shed at the Feadship facility in Makkum, marking the completion of this impressive endeavor. The vessel will undergo further outfitting as it prepares for sea trials in the North Sea before its eventual delivery.

Crafted in collaboration with Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design for both interior and exterior design, and featuring naval architecture by Azure Yacht Design, Project 1011 boasts a distinctive profile and a purposeful personality with its clean-cut exterior lines and vertical bow. The yacht showcases a remarkable 1,100 square meters of exterior glass, encompassing twenty exterior sliding doors and twelve glass windbreaks. Notable features include four outdoor hot tubs, a swimming pool that spans the full height of the main deck and is accessible from the pool deck, a helicopter hangar beneath the forward helipad, and an impressive eight hull doors, including the largest tender garage door ever installed on a Feadship.

Commissioned by a highly experienced owner deeply involved in every detail of the 103-meter project, Project 1011 pushes the boundaries of design and engineering. Feadship Director/CEO, Henk de Vries, reflects on the collaboration, stating, “As a repeat client and Feadship fan who has built his own yachts in the past, the client had a very clear idea of what we are capable of and pushed the boundaries in terms of design and engineering. He wanted to be part of the team, which ordinarily is something we try to avoid, but he was fully prepared to collaborate, and our working relationship ended up being both friendly and fun!”

The project commenced with a challenging brief, requiring similar amenities and living space as the owner's previous 6,000GT yacht but in a design with half the volume for enhanced accessibility to anchorages and harbors. The result showcases a masterclass in space planning and rule exploration.

Noteworthy engineering achievements include a single-deck engine room to maximize interior volume for guest use, a groundbreaking solution that has been adopted in another ongoing project in Makkum. The vessel also presents six-meter expanses of glass for the main deck guest suites, a record-breaking 15-meter-long tender garage shell door, fully retracting glass doors, a futuristic bridge by Kongsberg, and a towering glass staircase and elevator in the main atrium. The culmination of these engineering and technical feats adds to the allure of Project 1011 as a symbol of innovation and excellence in yacht construction.
